Director Research

 In preperation for our project we all went through the excercise of researching the work of a music video director to compare and contrast their different projects.

I chose Kristen Berg who worked on many Alan Walker music videos and looked at all the projects he did and then chose some to compare. I found many similarities in his style like the narrative aspect and the use of marks and technology. However, he had some music videos with completely unique features such as the animated videos. 

Overall, it gave me a good idea of his style as an artist and helped me understand how to build my own style and enciuraged me to use some of his techniques as well. I made a presentation detailing my research.

Our Team

 My partner Aleeta and I will be working on this project.

The two of us are working on planning the project together and then directing it as well. I will focus more on the cinematography aspect while her primary focus will be editing.

Project

 This year, we were given a few options to decide between for our project. We have decided to go with the music promotion package which is supposed to be a promotional package for the release of a new album with a music video, social media page and a digipak for the album release.

We are very excited for this and look forward to every step of the process.

Introduction

Hi! I am Rameen and this will be my platform for documenting what I do with my project this year. I plan to do the music package and will, therefore, be creating a music video, album cover and social media page. I also plan to keep a record of the techniques we learn and the practises we do on here as well. I hope that the entire process is fun and exciting.
